Different Desktops
From Jacob Kruger
Running windows 11 home 64-bit 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1928 - and, created
a virtual desktop for a set of tasks that wanted to let run in
background, while carried on with normal tasks - used ctrl+win+D to
create a new virtual desktop, and, the other keystrokes that might be of
interest/relevant, if you're not used to this is then
ctrl+win+left/right to switch between desktops, and, ctrl+win+F4 to then
close the currently active one, and let all open windows there then
revert to another.
Either way, was busy with a bit of large file copying in virtual desktop
2, and, had reverted back to virtual desktop 1 - the default one - in
the meantime, but, the moment the file copying finished, and, under
virtual desktop 2 it then focused on a file browser window, focus
automatically switched over to virtual desktop 2, interrupting what had
been busy with under virtual desktop 1.
Like said, not a real issue, but, bit of a surprise, and, all did was
use close keystroke above to shift focus back to virtual desktop 1,
after had then closed the relevant file browser windows.
